Chief Revenue Officer (Full Time)

Job Requirements & Qualifications:
We are looking for a dynamic and talented Senior Ad Sales Executive with a passion for healthy living and a love of digital media (especially email!). This role reports to the CEO/Co-Founder.

The Chief Revenue Officer will have a player/coach role. They will be responsible for developing and growing new business revenue with potential and existing advertisers. They will identify, structure and negotiate deals and manage relationships directly with clients. They will also work with our talented ad sales executives and the ad sales coordinator, to elevate the sales efforts for the whole team.. They will be asked to collaborate with clients to maximize their association with Vital Juice. We are looking for people who are engaging, personable, analytical, proactive, energetic and creative.

The ideal candidate will have some digital ad sales experience in health, wellness or beauty lifestyle categories, but we are open to bringing in someone with less directly relevant experience.
Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of ad sales experience, preferably in the health and wellness space. Not required.
  • Online ad sales experience desirable
  • Experience managing a team
  • Proven track record of success and the ability to generate new business
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well under pressure, thrives in an entrepreneurial environment

Salary & Benefits: Competitive base + commission + equity

Advertising Sales Coordinator

VitalJuice.com, the leading women's healthy living daily email, has an immediate opening for an advertising sales coordinator. This role requires an understanding of the online advertising industry, a strong attention to detail and a passion for health and wellness to successfully grow with a fun, dynamic, and creative team.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Manage the sales cycle from start to finish (prospecting, identifying contacts, creating proposals, generating Insertion Orders, securing advertiser collateral, inputting collateral in the admin, and results reporting).
  • Support the Director of Ad Sales with outbound sales campaigns to increase awareness of VitalJuice.com among the advertising community (agencies & client-direct) to generate and grow new business.
  • Prospect and penetrate medium to large size organizations ("Top 2000" advertisers, major sub-brands and Advertising Agencies) to help secure RFP’s and advertising dollars.
  • Create persuasive sales presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel detailing market trends, case studies and VitalJuice.com marketing solutions.
  • Analyze campaign performance statistics and recommend optimized media solutions from the results.
  • Work to develop effective sales strategies and advertising sales proposals for continued site revenue growth.

The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree or equivalent, a minimum of 1 year media planning or 1 year of online sales experience with a top performance record.

Vital Juice Intern

Vital Juice is seeking an Intern in our New York office to primarily support our digital ad sales team. We’re looking for a go-getter, someone who’s eager to learn about digital advertising, takes initiative, and is interested in living a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Internship is unpaid, but college credit is offered, as well as many health and wellness perks. The internship is structured to provide real-life experience and relevant exposure to online sales strategy and execution, in addition to valuable networking opportunities with well-conscious influencers and business people in the fitness, wellness, nutrition and beauty sector.

Duties and Expectations:
  • Working with our digital ad sales team to build and write custom advertising proposals for our national and local advertising clients. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) is required.
  • Preparing pipeline reports for management to identify and make sense of pipeline trends.
  • Seeking out advertising opportunities online and recommending prospective initiatives to the sales team.
  • General office assistance for the sales and marketing team.
  • Expert social media and online research skills – if you’re on Twitter and/or have a blog, let us know!
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Past digital advertising/marketing experience a plus.
