Which essential oils will fight off my winter blues?
"For winter blues, I recommend citrus oils. They are nature's antidepressants and contain vitamin C. [Look for] bergamot, grapefruit, lemon, lime, orange, tangerine, mandarin orange, blood orange and bitter orange. I love bergamot for the ultimate mood lifter. Tangerine is great because it also helps digestion. Make your own blend of citrus oils and add a little palmarosa or petitgrain for an everyday personal scent that could also work as a deodorant."
But be sure to wear them in winter: "You can't wear them as easily in the summer because they increase the effects of the sun. You could get sunburned badly if they're applied to an area exposed to the sun, especially in the case of bergamot."
