Dear Vital Juice,
I love my go-to brunch place, but I'm looking for another favorite to add to my repertoire. Any suggestions for a cozy neighborhood joint?
--I Run for Brunch
Dear IRFB,
We've found the perfect spot. Tucked away on the UES, this rustic discovery satisfied our stomachs when we happened by for brunch this weekend. The off-the-beaten path restaurant, which opened in late summer, offers a cozy atmosphere that feels like an intimate winter lodge (see photos here) and has a thoughtful American bistro menu.
Start with a cup of Jim's Organic Coffee or SerendipiTea before digging into sustainable bites like squash soup, a grass-fed beef burger or make-your-own omelettes using Feather Ridge Farm eggs from Elizaville, NY. We loved the savory red wine poached eggs with Mountain View Farm bacon. See the full brunch menu here.
And this kitchen takes reservations.
That's what's cooking.
