Slim Pickin's

Feeling stuffed from dinner? Try this light breakfast fare.

Overindulged? Try these.

All of last night's decisions are now coming to light, including two servings of mashed potatoes and an extra slice of pie. These things happen, but skipping the next three meals is not the answer.

We asked nutrition and fitness coach Melissa Paris for her morning-after-Thanksgiving breakfast picks (because cooking again is not on our to-do list):

  • Stop by this Midtown West restaurant for the butternut squash soup or heirloom tomato and watermelon salad for a satisfying (not overwhelming) meal.
  • Play chef (without the clean-up) by making your own omelette at this East Village café.
  • Lighten up with local ingredients at this UWS restaurant. Try the beets or poached eggs.

  • Or cook up this Thanksgiving leftover-inspired breakfast recipe.

    Start fresh.
