There's hot gossip percolating.

Blame it on the fact that we're both early birds and night owls (who in NY isn't?), but we love our daily cup(s) of coffee.

So when we heard that LA cult favorite The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is planning to set up shop near Times Square with its first New York location, we were eager to see what the brewhaha is about.

But when we mentioned the opening to our LA-loving coworkers, their shrills of excitement nearly caused temporary deafness.

Cried one editor, "The Ice Blended Mocha is a treat! It's more coffee-forward and less sweet than some other blended drink competitors!" Squealed another, "I never drink coffee, but Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf's Decaf Vanilla Ice Blended, with no sugar added, rocks!"

We scouted the menu online and found our perfect coffee thanks to the coffee personality matcher.

While we haven't heard an official opening date (it's slated for late August), it's definitely something to buzz about.
