Q: Is listening to music making our workouts more, or less, effective?
A: When doing repetitive, automatic movements (like running on the treadmill), music can help get you in the mood. But when you want to do something challenging, try leaving your headphones off. It will allow you to focus and concentrate on the exercise rather than on your playlist. Think about professional athletes: while they may warm up to music, they don't wear headphones while in the game.
