Intensely Peaceful
This unique class fuses the full-body workout of boxing with the healing power of yoga.
In the remote corners of New England lived a mad fitness scientist, Wendy Billie. In her exercise lab, she attempted to create the near-impossible: a complete workout that combines high-intensity moves with relaxation. And at last, Adrenazen was born!
First tested on Dartmouth's graduate business students, Adrenazen was such a success that she decided to bring her yoga/boxing fusion to stressed-out, time-crunched Manhattanites.
The secret formula: After a gentle Vinyasa flow, the class begins a boxing sequence with weighted gloves and mock jumping rope, then moves into a calming and invigorating yoga series, repeated three times with a final guided meditation at the end.
The interval-style class creates an adrenaline rush in the body followed by a Zen-like recovery (similar to how we feel when racing to make the subway). Try an Adrenazen exercise here.
Classes officially start the week of the 16th, by RSVP only. Click here for the schedule.
Experiment conclusion: success.
