Welcome to Terri
It's a family affair at this new vegan spot.
Craig Cochran (pictured), former general manager at Café Blossom, has opened Terri, an organic, vegan café named for his mom. (Aw, shucks.) We stopped by during the lunch rush to find Craig and his brother manning the registers.
While seating space is limited, the made-to-order sandwiches are perfect for grab-and-go. The siblings recommended the spicy buffalo "chicken" sandwich, a Thanksgiving sandwich (with Tofurky, cranberry sauce and crushed walnuts), and the "meatball" sub--$8.50 each with tax. (We opted for the buffalo and weren't disappointed.)
There's also a selection of wraps ($8.50) and salads ($7.50), from Caesar to a six-bean blend. And for liquid lunchers, a coveted Norwalk Juicer churns out fresh beverages. We sampled the Live Long and Green, a surprisingly delicious combo of apple, cucumber, spinach, lemon and ginger.
Mom would be proud.
