Normally, we're leery of department store beauty sections--the overly solicitous perfume spritzers are enough to keep us away. But at Bloomingdale's sleek new beauty space, we've reconsidered our stance. Here's what's in store: 

Hair 911. Don't have time to run home between work and dinner? Head to the Bb.StylingBar where $35 buys you a quickie re-do. (Or take advantage of the DIY station stocked with Bumble and Bumble products.) 

Lash call. Plump up puny lashes with help from an expert at Shu Uemura's Tokyo Lash Bar. They'll apply falsies, perfect for a night out.

Mineral deposit. Check out the good-for-your-skin mineral makeup line from Bare Escentuals. (We love the brand's Get Started Kit, everything you need for $60.)

And assaults by perfume? Nary a one.
