Hang in there with a circus-worthy workout.

Surrounded by trapezists, trampoliners and a group of acrobats, Cody Schreger leads a class on Aerial Silks. Our New York editor stopped by to test it out. Here's her take: 

Go to new heights. Climbing the silk ropes will improve your strength and help tone biceps and triceps, plus specific moves target your core and glutes!

Turn your world upside down. In the very first class you practice techniques while inverted, helping improve the mind body connection. (Try figuring out your right from your left or forwards from backwards when your upside down.)

Say grace. Imagine dancing in the air. That's what it looks like when Cody and more seasoned students twirl with the silk ropes. Beginners may be clunky at first, but after a few class, your form will improve.
