Baby, Remember My Name
Try the unforgettable workout inspired by one of our favorite films.
"You want fame? Well, fame costs. And right here is where you start paying. With sweat." --Lydia (Debbie Allen), Fame
Ladies, get out your leg warmers because Fame is back with a 2009 remake opening this Friday. If the movie makes you want to get up and dance (how could it not?), then learn actual moves from the flick, courtesy of Crunch.
Our New York editor, who dances best after a few cocktails, braved the choreography class sober. There were kick-ball-changes, a few Fosse moves, and even jazz hands. Skill or no skill (our editor was the latter), the hour-long lesson delivers a serious workout.
The first class is free when you mention Vital Juice--although as Lydia said, you will pay with sweat!
Crunch, multiple locations. Schedule: Lafayette, Mondays at 8:30PM; 38th St., Tuesdays at 6PM; 83rd St., Wednesdays at 6PM; Park Slope, Thursdays at 6:30PM.
