Vital Tested: I.AM.YOU. Yoga
We're banking on a new yoga studio from a former finance exec.
After seven years at Morgan Stanley, Princeton grad Lauren Imparato fled Wall Street to start her own yoga studio--I.AM.YOU. We sent a tester to try out a class with the erstwhile banker. Here's her take:
• Come empty-handed. Everything you need--a mat, blanket, towel and block--is all provided for you.
• Expect to sweat. Housed just above a former sweat shop in Little Italy, the class lives up to its history--you will need that towel.
• Puts the co in co-ed. Appealing to finance types, the class had more men than what you'd find at most other studios. Not that we're complaining...
VJ verdict: At $20 a pop, it's a sound investment.
Class schedule starting 9/14: Mon., Tues., and Wed. at 7PM, and Sat. at 11AM. RSVP by email
