Oh, Behave!
Get the freshest food around at this new café.
Don't you talk back, you fresh thing. Just this morning you were in the field, and now you're traipsing into The Farmer's Kitchen like you own the place. Ever since Pompea and Walter Smith (the duo behind The Hollywood Farmer's Market) decided to open a café based on Farmer's Market produce, and Chef Gil Boyd of Le Cordon Bleu and Chef E of The Viper Room came on board, the place has been out of control. Last Sunday, we found...
- Zucchini and leeks running wild in a hearty frittata of fresh eggs.
- Farmer's Market chicken sausage mixing with roasted potatoes, sautéed market greens and super-sweet peach compote.
- Heirloom bean soup stirring things up with a sun-dried bean medley.
- Fresh-squeezed OJ making a juicy mess of Cali oranges.
Guess we'll expect this behavior every Tuesday through Saturday from 11AM to 3PM and Sundays from 7:30AM till 2PM, with the menu changing based on your whim. The priciest plate is $8 and could feed a small army. Heard you're even developing products, like a 100% heirloom tomato sauce.
You'd think you were raised in a barn.
