Shake Your Bunda

Send to a friend

Want a dancer's body? Try this spicy, Latin-inspired workout.

Feathered headdresses, sparkling bikinis, killer abs...no one has it going on quite like samba dancers. Want what they got? Shake up your routine with Samba Body, the sizzling dance workout from pro dancer Fransini Giraldo. We sent a daring gal to try it out. She loved:

Dance floor moves in sneaks. Our tester was glad she wore workout clothes and sneakers because the moves are based on bouncing the heels--meaning lots of action for the core, thighs and bunda (that's your bottom, in Portuguese).

Hot steps that get hotter. The class starts slow, so even if you've never danced, you'll pick up the steps. To the super-seductive beat, Fransini puts the moves together in a choreography you'll be rocking by the end of the hour.

Lots of laughter. Shook it left instead of right? No one takes themselves too seriously, and giggling is part of the fun.

You'll burn at least 200 calories and, promises Fransini, be able to defend yourself on any dance floor. Cowabunda, baby.

Classes in Los Angeles and Orange County (click "Schedule") or check out the new DVD (click "DVD").
