Happy Chinese New Year!

Today marks the beginning of the Chinese Year of the Dragon. (If you were born in 1952, 1964, 1976 or 1988, get ready for a banner year!) But rather than breaking out the bubbly, why not celebrate in true Chinese style with a soothing cup of tea? After all, cha, or tea, is said to have first been discovered by Chinese emperor Shennong in 2737 BC, and the Chinese have been perfecting the art ever since.

For an authentic experience, head over to Silver Lake's CHA Healing Arts and Teahouse, where the healing powers of more than 60 teas from Chinese provinces like Hunan, Fujian, and Yunnan are just waiting to be tapped. If your sign is Dragon, may we suggest CHA's Yunnan Super Grade Pu Erh? Like you, this robust black tea is strong and powerful, and you're sure to love the amped-up energy Pu Erh provides. (And if you do happen to break out the bubbly, you'll likely enjoy its purported anti-hangover qualities.)

Great things are brewing in 2012.
