We indulged in the Energy Enhancer treatment with therapist Scott Crawford.

What's a five-star treatment like at one of LA's most exclusive hotels? We found out at Hotel Bel-Air Spa by La Prairie:

• Step back in time. The tucked-away hotel spreads out across winding paths, under flowering foliage that once shaded silver screen stars. We passed swans and footbridges, feeling transported to old Hollywood as we made our way to the new spa.
• Cue soft lighting. Come early or stay late to enjoy the sparkling sauna, where twinkling lights shine like constellations, and glimmer through luscious clouds of steam. Spritz the provided eucalyptus or lavender sprays for aromatherapeutic calm.
• Cue music. You'll select your choice of playlists, from classical to yogic to Frank Sinatra.
• Get in the buff. Your skin will be gently buffed with the "cellular enhancing" line by La Prairie; the sheets and towels are all scented with the line's signature light, citrusy fragrance. Then, you'll be moisturized and body-wrapped so that the products can work. While you relax, you'll receive a head and neck massage; afterward, you'll step into the in-room shower (shower heads are in the walls!). The rest of the treatment is a masterful massage customized for your body's needs.

Leave time afterward to relax with a book and to snack on the provided nuts, Luna bars and fruit-infused water.
