Zenify can put you in the zone.

Can a can of soda change your brainwaves? We tested it.

Newsflash: It's not just your relatives making you feel stressed this holiday season. Turns out your mind may be working against you! Beta waves are what happen in your brain when scattered thoughts and that jittery feeling leave you totally unproductive.

That's why we were intrigued by LA-based Zenify, a new fruity, stevia-sweetened soft drink that claims to help turn beta waves into brain-calming alpha waves. Each 12-ounce can contains only 50 calories and is loaded with GABA, glycine and L-theanine--all considered to help promote a meditative, focused state. And the founders say just one can will do the trick. Our tester's response: "The grapefruit taste and scent perked me up with the first sip. The ingredients work after you've given them a little time, maybe half an hour. And the calm feeling really did last for hours."

To further change our brains for the better this season, we asked the folks who make Zenify for some other ways to find our Zen. Get their tips here.

Go om for the holidays.
