A Crunch Halloween Workout

Try this wicked workout created by Crunch personal trainer Quincy Burgers.

Troll Squat Walk: Stand straight with feet much wider than shoulder-width apart. Lower into squat position so knees are at a 90-degree angle (stand on tiptoe for a greater challenge; if you have knee problems, regress the exercise by bending your knees to 100 degrees). While maintaining balance, take one step forward. Keep walking forward by alternating your leading foot. Take 10 steps, turn around and repeat.

Scarecrow Squat: Begin standing with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding light hand weights in both hands. Squat down while simultaneously bringing the weights out in front of your chest. Keep arms fully extended. As you stand, lift your arms to your sides while maintaining a slight bend in the elbows. Repeat for 10-15 reps.

Broken Bat Wing Pushup: Begin in high plank (pushup) position. Bend at the elbows and lower your body until your chest is an inch away from the floor. Hold for one second and press back up to starting position (note: If pushups are challenging on your toes, slowly drop to your knees while completing this part of the movement). Raise one arm until your fingertips point to the ceiling. Hold for a second. Return to starting position. Repeat 10 reps and then switch sides.

Frankenstein's Sit-Ups: Lie on your back, with knees bent and feet flat. Position arms at your sides and lift shoulders off the floor. Touch your left heel with your left hand and then touch your right heel with your right hand. Continue alternating for one minute.
