Korean Holiday

Send to a friend
This coed room has radiant floors.

Discover the $15 destination spa vacation.

The challenge: A spa addiction. No time to travel. And a budget of $15.

Sound impossible? Not in Koreatown, where we discovered a 24-hour, multi-level spa where we could occupy ourselves for hours...and admission is $15 on Tuesdays. Leave your car with the complimentary valet, and venture down to the women's sauna, a bathing oasis where you'll find showers, sauna, steam, plus warm and hot Jacuzzis and a cold pool. You'll also notice cozy recliners and sleeping rooms (you can stay overnight!).

But that's not all. After you've bathed, slip on a provided T-shirt and shorts and head upstairs to the jimjilbang (coed common area) where you can lounge on radiant heated stone floors or use one of the five themed healing saunas. Hungry? Stop at the café for a traditional meal. Busy? Check email at a free computer station.

Got a bigger budget? Splurge $70 and get access to everything above plus a body scrub and a massage.

See where it is and read about our experience here.

Close to home, feeling so far away.
