See what's big in Japan.
If all that glitters is gold, we should call Yuki Kuniyoshi "Goldfinger."
At her LAX-adjacent salon, JewelCandy Nails, this Japan native dreams up elaborate, super glitzy 3-D nail art designs that would make any Harajuku girl jealous—or possibly celebs like Fergie, Beyonce, and Alicia Keys, all of whom have been spotted sporting this look. Whether you bring your own inspiration or request designs ranging from crossbones to cupcakes (see samples here!), Kuniyoshi can recreate it on natural nails or acrylics with her stealthy stash of colorful buttons, stones, stickers, and jewels.
And the best part? Kuniyoshi uses organically-based color gels and soak-off solutions, along with vegan lotion to make your hands smell just as pretty as they look. Plus you'll have your finger on the pulse of fashion, as Kuniyoshi says Japanese nail art is just starting to catch on here in the states (we tracked down JewelCandy via a local style maven whose nails amazed us). It's also relatively affordable—depending on intricacy and number of designs, the process starts at $40. Go kawaii crazy here.
