Ready. Set. Sweat!
This Canuck import turns up the temp.
Oh, Canada! You've bestowed upon us yummy maple syrup, polite people, talk show hosts (i.e. Alex Trebek and Howie Mandel) and now, MokshaLA.
This über-popular form of hot yoga, which boasts 45 studios worldwide, is finally opening its doors and turning up the heat in Tinseltown.
Moksha, which literally means "freedom," is a hot yoga series designed to stretch, strengthen and tone the muscles while detoxifying the body.
So what's the difference between Moksha and other forms of hot yoga such as Bikram? Moksha's poses incorporate more upper body and abdominal work, as well as lots of hip openers to relieve the lower back. Hence the freedom! And unlike some hot yoga classes, there are no smelly carpets. See a full class in time lapse here!
To top it off, the facilities are designed to be green (read: eco-radiant heat panels, VOC-free painted walls, cork studio floors and filtered water).
But don't take our word for it--MoskshaLA is offering a free week from September 17 to 23.
Now that's hot!
