Check out The Complete Idiot's Guide to Marathon Training.

We asked two marathon experts how to run like the wind.

To carbo-load or not carbo-load--that is the question for many runners training now for the Malibu International Marathon. But a pasta dinner is just the start of it. For every runner interested in completing the 26.2-mile challenge, there's a marathon myth about when to eat, what to drink and how to train.

We asked LA-based running buffs David A. Levine and Paula Petrella, authors of the recently-released The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Marathon Training, to separate fact from fiction:

Q: I love the idea of a big, indulgent pasta dinner...but does carbo-loading really work?
A: Click here.

Q: It's my first time training for a marathon. Should I try the run/walk combo--or just run the whole thing?
A: Click here.

Q: A friend told me at happy hour that beer helps her recover faster from long runs. Is this possible?
A: Click here.

Q: What's the single thing marathoners should never do when training for a race?
A: Click here.
