Move over, salt and pepper--there's a new Spice Station in town.
It's times like these we wish Smell-O-Vision had been met with more success.
To get a whiff of these spices, you'll have to head to Spice Station, the Silver Lake shop that recently opened a second outpost in Santa Monica.
The shelves are stocked with more than 200 chiles, herbs, salts and blends, including irresistible black truffle salt and "Syrian sumak," a tasty salad topper.
We picked up the $40 Healing Tray (pictured), an aromatic combo of turmeric, fenugreek seed, cinnamon, asafoetida, garlic, bee pollen, ginger, celery seed and silver birch bark. Each one- to two-ounce container comes labeled with health benefits and cooking suggestions.
Delicious, any way you spice it.
How many of the spices pictured can you ID? Click here for answers. Then send this story to a friend for some healthy competition.
