Make 'Em Think You Can Dance

Send to a friend
You can have dancers' legs, too.

This new workout can give you a dancer's physique.

When an English cover model told us her favorite workout is the UK-based Lotte Berk Method, we took note. So when we heard that a Lotte Berk-inspired workout called Centerpeace was launching in West Hills, we raced to try it. Why you should, too:

Bare arms. Teacher Jody Polacheck, a Bar Method veteran, has sculpted biceps--and so do the regulars in her class. Tiny moves with light weights create the cut.

Dance dance revolution. Though we exercise regularly, the pliés, kicks and balances we did at the barre burned our glutes more intensely than anything we're used to.

Flat out. Subtle crunches and lifts burned and flattened our abs (Polachek has a baby; you'd never know it).

Your first class is free, but you must bring ballet shoes or buy tread-bottomed ExerSocks, available at the class ($10--they're our new favorite thing).

Had to pointe that out.
