Vital Tested: Yogatini
This powdered drink is unlike any other.
We're not fans of powdered drinks. They're usually sugary and full of chemicals. So when we received samples of YogaEarth, powdered drinks formulated by yogis (including Sara Ivanhoe) for pre- and post-yoga power-ups, we still resisted.
But one day when we found ourselves too pooped to pose, we gave it a shot.
The first packet, "Balance," is made to be taken at least 90 minutes before yoga. The all-natural blend is red, barely sweet, and tastes like beets. It's not delicious, but it's not bad. And it contains 100,000% of your daily value of B-12, plus these vitamins, probiotics, enzymes and amino acids (click "Ingredients"). We had enough "pow" to do a 90-minute class.
The second packet, "Vitality," is made to be taken post-yoga. It's moss-green and contains CoQ10, bee pollen and royal jelly, among other things. We found it refreshing and easily drinkable. YogaEarth's 30-person study says 93% of participants, who took both supplements daily, felt "sustained improvements in energy."
So next time you're dry, pour a packet.
And stir things up.
