Vital Tested: Gentle Tug

Stark Soothing Oil gets the red out.

If waxing makes you cringe, consider heading here.

Our experiences with waxing have been mildly traumatic. So Stark Waxing Studio, which has been lauded for its meticulous depilation (they don't call it "Stark" for nothing), frankly scared us.

But Stark just teamed up with local natural perfumer Persephenie to create an exclusive soothing oil. We couldn't say no:

Everything turned blue. The waxing was done with Stark's French-imported blue wax, which is rich in oils so it won't grab skin. It's true. The heat of the wax was more noticeable than the hair removal.

We were soothed. Our skin was drizzled with Persephenie's Stark Soothing Oil. Made of nourishing apricot seed oil, organic lavender (known to be antiseptic and anti-inflammatory) and cooling organic peppermint, it smelled light and fresh. Most amazingly, within an hour, almost all redness was gone.

Aesthetician Sarah Santiago was both gentle and thorough, and we left feeling no pain.

We're not pulling your leg.
