Vital Tested: Look Sharp
This Botox alternative could give you a lift in a pinch.
Normally, we wouldn't want someone to point out the lines in our faces. But we let Veronica M. Rogers needle us. The licensed acupuncturist (pictured), who's a clinical supervisor at renowned Yo San University, performs "facial rejuvenation"--that is, she uses acupuncture to reduce wrinkles. The method has also been said to tighten pores, brighten eyes, even give the look of a facelift. Our experience:
No pain, all gain. Once the hair-fine needles were in, there was a little tingle like electricity.
Wait and see. We relaxed for a few minutes while letting the needles do their work.
Looking good. After just one short session, we looked refreshed. We even thought lines were diminished, but we admit, we were looking for that.
Not to put too fine a point on it.
