Do you dare to dream? To live your very best life, now? Are you willing to shout about it while exercising?
That's what happens in packed IntenSati classes, the megahit cardio-meets-motivation workout from NY-based creator Patricia Moreno. Instructor Robyn Ward has just brought the phenom to LA, and classes are filling fast.
We were shy at first, but after five minutes of choreographed punches, squats, lunges and jumps, we were screaming with the best of 'em. Each move has its own inspirational phrase, like "I know what I want" or "I am empowered now." Shouting while moving not only speaks to the subconscious, but burns more calories (it is work to shout while jumping).
We sweated for half an hour solid, then did a lower body strength and balance combination. Finally, we lay on the floor for a guided meditation. By the end, we felt like powerful warriors.
Pretty intens.
