Vital Tested: Sweetheart Workout
This boot camp will shape you up by Valentine's Day.
Look out, Lingerie. Your scanty style isn't scaring anybody now that Laura Hebert's in town. The Santa Monica SWEAT trainer whips thighs and buns into show-off-shape, and she can do it in just three weeks, right on time for Valentine's Day. Here's how:
Prepping in Paradise. Beneath a palm tree overlooking the ocean, Hebert swaps stretching for "movement prep": limbering up the body by jumping right into the action. We did leg swings, squats, lunges and arm circles.
Sweetheart circuits. We did three sets of circuits to work the glutes, arms and abs. Hebert focused on moves that tend to quickly yield noticeable effects, and make clothes fit better fast. Our favorites: side steps with a stretchy band around our ankles (booty burn!), pliés on the toes (cellulite, begone) and the hips-lift, a seriously hardcore abs move.
Luscious, lean leg-lengthening. Hebert saves stretching for the cool-down, where we eased our muscles into long stretches.
For a sweet bod by February 12, start boot camp on January 25.
Maybe that's Victoria's secret.
