If we'd known what LeSpa's "eye rejuvenation" at Sofitel entailed, we probably wouldn't have tried it. Electric "microcurrent" running through our faces? Eek! But ignorance really is bliss, because we went for it--and love the results.

The Carita Ideal Pro-Lift machine is only available at Sofitel, and comes from France, just like LeSpa's lead aesthetician, Tej Maarfi. "All the politicians en France do it before a big speech," Maarfi told us while gently moving a sponge pad across the forehead. At first, we thought a few of our hairs were being pulled, and, when the sponge passed our cheeks, our teeth vibrated. But after a few minutes, it felt fine.

Then, the big reveal...the forehead, where our muscles had been "stuck" in a slightly worried position, was completely smoothed. The face felt, if you can imagine it, like our bodies feel after a good workout: firm and flexed. We didn't have noteworthy wrinkles before, but we can't believe how good our skin looks now. The effects last at least a week.
