Post-Workout Snacking Guide

What should I be snacking on after a workout? Carbs? Protein? Fat? All of the above?

"Look for a low fat combo of protein and carbs. For women, it's always hard to get their protein needs met. I recommend 10 to 12 grams of protein. That's the amount in a small yogurt or a glass of milk. Or you can add protein powder to juice or a smoothie. You should have a little bit of carbs, too. Try to get 30 grams at the most. So a large piece of fruit, sweetened yogurt or an energy bar that's about 150 calories."
