True or False?
If you are trying to lose weight, buying portion controlled snack packs are a good way to curb calories.
FALSE.
In a study at the University of Arizona, dieters given the choice between one large bag of candy and four smaller packs of mini-sized candy actually consumed more calories when they chose the portion controlled option. Because dieters thought they were making a "better" choice by grabbing the mini candy in smaller packages, they ended up eating more than they would have if they made the "bad" choice of regular sized candy in a larger bag.
