Make a splash with this new yoga class. Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina

Paddle up to the latest yoga hybrid.

You've done it on the slopes. You've tried it on wheels. You've even taken a pup to a class.

But you've never done "Flo-Yo."

Yoga studios and hotels across the country have launched stand-up paddle board yoga classes. (Try it at the Fairmont Orchid in Hawaii, Key West Paddle Board Yoga in Florida or WASUP Yoga in Seattle.)

At the Fairmont Orchid, class starts with a warmup, sun salutations, balancing poses and paddle techniques followed by 40 minutes of Flo-Yo in a secluded lagoon. The paddle boards, which are similar to surfboards, are weighed down, and while you strike a pose you might see a turtle or an octopus drift by. "It's a full body workout," says instructor Donica Shouse. "Just sitting or standing on the board engages all of your muscles. And when you move into another yoga position, you have to engage more muscles to compensate for the instability."

Flow with it.
