Dancing with the Stars
Bust a move with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson.
She's trained Madonna. She helped Gwyneth Paltrow drop the baby weight. Molly Sims, Courteney Cox, Kristin Davis and Shakira all sing her praises.
Now, trainer to the stars Tracy Anderson is at your service--and spilling her fitness secrets. She just released The Perfect Design Series ($85 for three 60-minute DVDs) so you can sculpt the body of your dreams. Once you master all three levels, you'll be fit enough to receive tailored workout videos via Tracy's website to build on your progress. (She sends her celeb clients custom videos, too.) "Tracy Anderson's Method changes your body in a way that no other exercise can," says Courteney Cox. "You will see remarkable results...a feminine, sexy body!"
We tried Level 1 a few days ago and picked up these red-carpet pointers:
- Rewind. The dance-based moves are complicated--there's minimal direction--so sit back and watch Tracy demo the exercises a few times to perfect your form.
- Replay. You'll do leg lifts, various crunches and other moves to the point of exhaustion to break down muscle and rebuild it into a longer, leaner shape.
- Roll with it. At first, the arm moves look goofy and haphazard (think: clubby dance hall), but there's a method to the madness. After a few minutes, little muscles you never knew you had start to burn.
