Rough Rider
Slough off dry winter skin with soaps from The Amazon.
We like it rough.
We may look dainty, but deep down, we really crave a good scrubbing.
Wash away winter doldrums (and flaky skin) with a new line of luxe organic soaps called Wembé. Named after a plant found in The Amazon, the line of 16 multitasking soaps are handmade and don't contain parabens or artificial colors. And while the bars may not be the prettiest, their distinctive lumps and bumps are actually chunks of plants and herbs that add effectiveness.
We took the Loofah Exfoliating blend (pictured; $25 for 3) for a spin. The almond oil-based soap is surrounded by a vegetable sponge that provides a shockingly firm slough. (It hurt so good.) For the faint of heart, try the yummy Dulce de Leche bar ($8.30). It's made with moisturizing milk and vanilla for a softer touch.

They scratched our itch.
