Gillian Clark & Teigh McDonough

For these Yoga Booty Ballet founders, yoga, dance and meditation are an art form.

With over 30 years (combined!) of professional teaching between them, Gillian Clark and Teigh McDonough, founders of Swerve and co-creators of Booty Ballet, know how to rock a weekend.

  • Royal/T features coffee, tea and art.

    Follow Teigh for tea.

McDonough loves Royal/T for tea, shopping (we love this), and taking in edgy artwork. Check out a video of installations here, and browse the menu here.

  • Meditate beside the lake.

    Realize something.

Clark says, "I love the Sunday 11AM service at the Self Realization Fellowship--Lake Shrine. The monks there always lead a brief meditation so anyone can give it a whirl. Afterward, I take a walk around the amazing lake and botanical gardens."

  • Stop by this body shop.

    Rub it in.

Says McDonough, "I buy 10 gift certificates at a time at The Massage Garage for a small discount on their already low price of $48 per hour. I really love Julie's massage and Kathy comes recommended, too."

  • Teigh says RELAX.

    Go deeper.

To find her inner Zen, McDonough attends "Deeply Meditate and Relax at Golden Bridge Yoga on Mondays, 11:00AM-12:30PM with Tej Kaur-Khalsa. Any of Tej's classes at Golden Bridge are amazing, but this one is my favorite."

  • Hang at Kenneth Hahn Park.

    Park and play.

Teigh loves a family hang at Kenneth Hahn Park. "If you have young kids, take them here and feed the ducks. Pack some snacks and make a picnic out of it. It you don't have kids, check out the hiking trails here. Free entry Monday through Friday."
