A Healthy Spin
A spin-centric yogi takes us for a ride through her weekend.
If you yearn for yoga without a side of Sanskrit, meet Kimberly Fowler. As founder of the hit spin/yoga combo YAS, Fowler is all about the exercise, no spirituality required. The no-nonsense cyclist, who's about to open a New York branch, shared her LA weekend plans:
-
Die laughing.
"I take "The Ultimate YAS class" which is spin followed by an hour of yoga, with Sherri Rosen. She's got amazing music and she's very funny, so you're sweating to death but laughing at the same time." 1101 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice, (310) 396-6993, MAP
-
Have a toast.
"I head to James' Beach for their Coast Toast. It's French toast soaked in Grand Marnier. It's so decadent, it really is a dessert. I work out just so I can have that!" 60 N. Venice Blvd., Venice, (310) 399-8420, MAP
-
Go Fish.
"I get a sports massage with Kelli Fisher. She does excellent body work. She puts me back together and gets me back on the road." (310) 821-9060
-
Get to the point.
"I go to The Tao of Wellness once a month to get a tune-up with Dr. Mao, who is an acupuncturist. His specialty is infertility, but he's also great for athletes." 1131 Wilshire Blvd., Ste. 300, Santa Monica, (310) 917-2200, MAP

Act beachy.
