GREEN market
What: This month, the hottest green scene in town will be the d&a Green Market, the first sustainable trade event encompassing the world of fashion, lifestyle, design and community (participants include Edun, Stewart & Brown and Loomstate),
Where: New Mart; 127 E. 9th St.
When: October 17-19, 10AM – 6PM.

ON a roll
What: New Venice spot Sushi and Roll Café Haru is serving up organic sushi with an extra-healthy angle (we're talking rice bran oil for deep-frying and a head chef who visits organic markets every morning to ensure the freshest and cleanest ingredients).

Why: For even the healthiest sushi eaters, this place has got serious “chops.” -
PURE pores
What: Nobody knows holistic skincare like Carol Dobson-Zubrin, owner of Purity Skincare, who specializes in “Wellness Facials”. Her natural, non-invasive approach leaves out harsh treatments and products, but she includes extras like Lymphatic Drainage and Chinese Pressure Point Facial Massage in all her facials.

TEA off
What: Head to just-opened SipTea for a modern way to get your Zen on. This hip new teahouse has a green and organic philosophy, as well as a long list of fun teas that can be ordered blended, as a soda or latte, hot, or iced.

Why: Rumor has it their homemade raw desserts are beyond be-leaf.
