What: The Sundance Channel's “The Green” has partnered with Barneys and Loomstate to create a nationwide T-shirt recycling program. Drop off your old tees at Barneys and Loomstate will “re-fashion” them to create a limited-edition collection (some proceeds go to 1% For the Planet).
Where: Barneys Beverly Hills, 9570 Wilshire Blvd.
When: Through 4/27.
Why: Because going green makes cents ? donors get a 20% discount on Loomstate merchandise. -
KIND dining
What: For one day only, Los Angeles-area restaurants participating in Dine Out Los Angeles are donating 20% or more of their proceeds to benefit Aid for AIDS.
Where: Check the list of participating restaurants.
When: Today. Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Why: It's not just a meal?it's food for the soul. -
POSER child
What: Yoga and child expert Danay DiVirgilio created the YogaBuddies program to teach the younger generation how to relax, become physically active and develop self-esteem.
