According to travel & lifestyle expert Suzanne Aaronson (who also pens the newsletter Notes from Suzanne's Files), traveling doesn't have to mean taking a vacation from your health. Here's how she feels good on the go:
-
Open eyes, open mouth. "I always eat the 'specialty' at my destination--like enchiladas in LA or steak in Buenos Aires--but I pay special attention to quantity and food combining (the more new foods in the mix, the more our tummies can get irritated)."
-
Plane face. "I wear no makeup on the plane, but I use highly moisturizing products (the Environ line is one my favorites). To reduce eye swelling, there's nothing better than cucumber slices."
-
Excess baggage. "When it comes to keeping my system regular, I've tried everything and found the single most effective and healthy remedy. Soak 2 tablespoons of whole flaxseeds in a large glass of water for at least an hour and drink before bed."
-
Over Cs. "When I'm traveling, extra Vitamin C is a definite must-have for increased energy and immunity. I take a product called Unique C 1000 from FoodScience of Vermont."
